Leap Wins ‘Sustainable Business of the Year’

By 26th April 2018Studio News

Here at Leap we are absolutely thrilled to have taken home the trophy for ‘Sustainable Business of the Year’ at the 2018 Cornwall Business Awards.

Hosted at the luxurious St Mellion International Resort, we were joined by fellow local Cornish businesses from all sectors and industries to celebrate a wealth of good people and good business (and of course plenty of good bubbly!)

A total of fifteen awards across a variety of categories were up for grabs, including the overall ‘Winner of Winners Award’ that was awarded to argricultural champion Teagle Machinery (who in total took home three trophies, all very much deserved).

As for Leap, we were honoured to be named as Sustainable Business of the Year, an award which was kindly sponsored by the University of Exeter. We maybe a small team of creative’s, but we are a team that thrive on making big changes. How we achieve this, we feel, is by being a purpose-driven business with a commitment to making business for good and a passion for using our creative skills as tools for change. We are very proud to be the first Cornish business to be BCorp accredited, together us BCorpers form a diverse, global community that shares one unifying goal – to refine success in business so that all companies compete to be not only the best in the world, but best for the world.

Judging our award, Hollie Kirk the Impact Partner Development Manager at the Univeristy of Exeter shares why she chose Leap as the winning business. (Thanks Hollie!)

Our Director Matt shares his thoughts from the night over on the Leap’s instagram account

‘So this is the thing, super stoked for our team, clients, studio and our local patch of our planet that we won Sustainable Business of the Year…The cheer from the crowds was award enough when we were announced as the winner. It’s very easy to forget that as a studio that just gets down and does the stuff we love,  it seems a lot of good humans and their businesses love us. Thank you, so honoured and grateful for what we are apart of and can do to help’.
