We’ve got a thing about start ups, when they call or pop into the studio. The excitement, but also the slight nerves; how much will this cost, are we doing the right thing, will they understand, why not do it ourselves?
And for us at Leap, it’s about believing in those clients, their ideas, potential, the possible relationship. It’s all about collaborative efforts and evolving success. No matter the sector, project, initiative, it’s our everyday design belief and we bring the creative, the enthusiasm and of course the sustainability to the table.
The Posh Pasty Company was founded in 2013 by chef and TV presenter James Strawbridge and his wife Holly. They have developed a range of gourmet flavours that retain a rustic farmhouse quality and offer a proper taste of Cornwall.
They started their company from humble beginnings at the ‘Pasty Shack’ which was based at Newhouse Farm on the South Coast of Cornwall. Due to a rise in demand they upscaled and are now located at Crantock Bakery with modern facilities and a professional team of crimpers working to deliver quality pasties, pies and sausage rolls.
For every £1.00 invested in thier good design work, Posh Pasty had a £270.00 return minimum.
We’ve created a great set of ’travelling journeyman’ stamps that tie into the ‘Port, Out, Starboard Home’ origins of the brand concept. We’ve decorated a VW Camper Van, sorted some awesomely simple Posh Pasty branded packaging. We created a small ‘about us’ pasty booklet and design, and also developed and launched their new website.
All produced with our usual CarbonZero studio approach, the website is hosted with Leap’s Carbon Neutral hosting.
Posh pasties have since appeared for sale at Eden Project, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and more recently the Coop.
