Dennis Cove Campsite website
The BST of British Summer Time is all set to stand for “British staycation time” this year, as ongoing travel restrictions set the domestic tourism sector up for a bumper season. Our latest website project to go live is for Dennis Cove Campsite, a family-run site at Padstow on Cornwall’s north coast who wanted to put themselves in the best position as the country reopens.
Our process started with a client workshop and team briefing to dig into the needs and desires of the team at Dennis Cove. Easy and obvious online booking was at the top of the list, followed by making information easily accessible for visitors and creating a mobile-friendly site. Dennis Cove wanted a modern and professional looking website that nonetheless invoked a feeling of nostalgia and brought to mind classic family camping holidays. To achieve this we built upon the colourful illustrative style that we have previously developed for their maps and way-finding signage, using iconographic elements throughout the site. As well as being designed to have as light a carbon footprint as possible, the Dennis Cove Campsite website is hosted on our carbon neutral Wunderism web servers.
“It was so great having a dedicated project manager working alongside the wonderfully creative and technical gang at Leap to help me create something epic. You guys seem to have a box of tricks and from that create a bit of magic… People are going to ask me about our wicked website and I am looking forward to telling them about how working with Leap has helped us to do our bit for the planet as well as delivering the website that we’d be dreaming of.” – Harry Smith, Dennis Cove Campsite
