B Local Cornwall – Using Sustainability as a Force for Growth
We’d like you to join Cornwall’s B Corp community this March for a B Social in the virtual world of Zoom, to celebrate global B Corp month.
This will be a great opportunity to connect with others who are using business as a force for good. Hosted by B Local Cornwall co-chairs Russell Cosway from Gydeline and Leap’s own Matt Hocking, you can expect to be inspired, learn more about the B Corps movement and meet some of Cornwall’s sustainability heroes.
The newly formed Cornish B Local group’s ambition is to build one of the largest B Corp communities in the UK outside of London, highlighting our county’s progressive approach to modern-day, purposeful business.
“We want the B Local in Cornwall to help progressive businesses realise the importance of balancing their people, the planet and prosperity for all. We want to demystify the journey of becoming a B Corporation, encouraging all those interested in becoming a force for good. Together we can discover new and innovative ways of creating an enduring future for our staff and customers while maintaining balanced profits and loving the world we all inhabit.” Matt Hocking
At the online event on March 10th, three leaders from Cornwall’s stock of fourteen (and counting) Cornish B Corps will be sharing their experience and insights:
- Founder of Finisterre, Tom Kay
- Founder of Made for Life Organics, Amanda Winwood
- Ward Williams Associates – Kate Mills, Partner & Victoria Davies, HR Manager and Co-Chair of B Corp UK People and Culture Working Group
Please register your free space to let us know you’re coming along, and feel to share this event with anyone else you know who might be interested in attending.
