Applications are now open for Leap’s 2022 Grant for Good.
Every year we donate time and creative energy to worthy causes by investing at least 5% of Leap’s turnover to environmental and social projects through pro-bono hours. This is our Grant for Good.
Some years we offer our design for change skills to multiple projects and in other years we focus on a single recipient; sometimes the Grant for Good covers the entirety of a project’s costs, and for other projects it may cover a portion of costs and act as a discount-in-kind.
If your charity, foundation, project or business has a positive environmental or social purpose, and you’re looking to commission design, branding, or web work in 2022, then it could be eligible and we’d love to hear from you.
It doesn’t matter how large or small your project is, and you can be an established organisation or a start-up. In 2019 we gifted time and talent to the incredible all-female crewed round-the-world scientific voyage eXXpedition, led by Emily Penn, whose website we created. Boost received a grant in 2020 to help with their work to revolutionise breast forms for cancer patients and survivors, through a new low-carbon website and innovative virtual breast form fitting app. We’ve developed branding, print and an online presence for Culture Cards, a scheme to offer free access to Cornish museums and galleries for care-experienced young people, and a Grant For good was put towards our design and development of a website for The Innocent Foundation whose aim is to create a world where every person has enough food to live. The types of project, the recipients, and how the grant is used are varied, but all share the same common trait of having a positive impact.
In 2021 our Grant for Good was shared between The Ocean Conservation Trust’s Blue Meadows project, Community Larder, Hidden Scars and the Cornish Plastic Pollution Coalition.
